I quit in May and I still feel that. I still cough a lot but I am getting better. I smoked for 14 years and it is starting to clear out of my system. Hope everything gets better for you. How long did you smoke for?

It's normal. It seems like your lungs start working overtime to clean up when they get a break from the smoke. Mint tea (if you don't mind the taste) can help, or cough drops.
