Suicide By Poison?

ive read that the most popular method of suicide from women, is by poison - but i cant find anything telling my WHAT type of poison the modern western women use, and what is the most popular and common poisons used

anybody know??or have a slight idea?

I've heard several places that women are much more likely to overdose on pills whereas men are more likely to shoot themselves. Given the availability of painkillers/sleeping pills/other depressants and alcohol (and the fact that these two things when taken in combination are oftentimes lethal), I'd assume taking them at the same time is the most common means of suicide, but I'm only guessing. I have no idea where you'd find a survey/study on this sort of thing.

I don't think they mean literally poison. Most women who commit suicide do it by overdosing on drugs, which, in effect, poisons the body.

I'd say depressants or pain killers are probably the most common types of drugs used to OD.

I think it is mostly done over time...I saw a documentary about women poisoning their husbands with De-con mixed in their drinks and food. Small amounts over time.

I have looked around on the internet and I cant find the leading poison of choice.

So many are traceable. (and stay in the system after death)
