Just about every college has a website that tells endless details about the college. How to get in, how much it costs, what subjects you can study there, what the campus looks like, how many men vs women, what the average SAT score is, etc etc.
In order to get a general idea about colleges, you should go to the website of the "College Board" and look through their materials about choosing a college.
Remember that this can be four terrific years, or four awful years. It can be a great experience that starts you in life, or a terrible waste of money and time that leaves you with nothing to show for it. The difference is whether you do your research in choosing the right school for you.
It is worth spending a lot of time trying to find the right school.
Good luck!
ps Fastweb is not exactly a scam, but it is mainly a data gathering site for advertisers. They are going to try to get you to sign up with a bunch of people who will bombard you with spam advertisements! Watch out.
