Vets won't crop ears after a dog is 13 weeks. By then the cartilage has set enough that the ears won't ever stand..Neutering can be done at any time..My own vet recommends that a male be neutered as soon as he hikes his leg to pee, or at 6 months, whichever comes first..

Dogs can be neutered at about 6 months of age when their testes drop down. I would not get any dogs ears cropped. It is very painful and if the vet doesn't know what he is doing, you could have problems. It is also a lot of work for you with the aftercare. Most vets won't do the cropping if the dog is over 12 weeks of age.

Neutering can be performed any time after 8 weeks old, but most dogs get neutered around 6 months old. Dogs typically hit "puberty" at 6 months. Ear cropping can usually be done at the same time.

Ear crops are done from age nine weeks to about 12 weeks much over that and most vets will not do them.
Neuters are mostly done about 6 months.
So they should be done seperately unless your vet will do the neuter that young. Many are now doing neuters at 10 weeks or so.
Ask your vet if he will do them at the same time.

neuter at 6 months of age. ear cropping is not necessary!! sometimes it can make dogs head shy. the aftercare is miserable and very labor intensive on your part!!

Are it's nuts down ??? Then...Do it TOMORROW!!!!
& YES,do both at the same time!!! It's silly & waste of money to do it seperately!!!
Do ***NOT*** listen to the NITWITS above!!!
Do *NOT* wait til 6 mons! For EITHER procedure!!! It is NOT too late to crop NOR too EARLY for neutering!

Neuter when the testicles are dropped (visible). I had my dobie's ears done at 16 weeks, and they stood fine, but I wouldn't wait too much longer than that. I also had to supplement her calcium and protein before and after, to build the cartilage.

After 3 - 4 months is a good time. It's good to bring them before they hit "puberty" so that they won't hump. (It's true!) Also, dont listen to PrincJafacake.... that was an incredibly ignorant answer. He gave me one as well!

you can do the nutering at about 6 months, we just got ours spayed at 4months. ear cropping isnt necessary, its only for looks, but it can be done at about 5 months i think. but its going to be a lot to care for all at once. but it can be done at the same time.
