You know, I think this bothers you, the fact that you dont have the strenght to accept things and move on. If you dont agree its ok you have free will (my brainwash is talking). But dont be talking about christians like they are from a different planet. Because it is making you sound pretty shallow and oblivious to many things. Its inexplicable, when you are so down in the dirt and there is no one who cares, but at that moment you find that these hands pick you up with ease and warmth and you know there is nothing and no one there but yet you hear His beautiful voice that say "Dont cry, im right here with you" Then you understand that its not some cult or religion, its not brainwash or some myth, you understand that it is real, and that is when you understand to not tell God how big your problem is but to tell your problem how big is your God.
Take care and have a beautiful day. Much love!

Have you noticed that EVERYONE is like that? All of the agnostics here spend far too much time repeating over & over that Christians are weird. Once they've posted that question, they post it in a different wording.
I think that y'all spend way too much time talking about something that you very ardently don't believe in. Enough that you obviously have frequent discussions with Christians or how else could you formulate your question?
As for the "glassy-eyed" look. Have you never been in love? Have you never seen that look on another person's face while they gazed into your eyes with longing? Obviously not, or you would recognize it for what it is. Devotion and love for God.

not really, I mean I'm religious and I am quite positive I don't sound like that...actually I love talking about it. It is possible that the people you are talking about really do come from a cult or they were brought up their whole life with this religion and are, like you said, simply repeating what they've heard. it's sad for them if they don't find a joy and uniqueness in their religion. it's supposed to be something personal which should make it unique...

this is because they are following a false religion and or god
There is only one true God, Jesus Christ
I have about 3,000 members at the church where I am a member and I have never seen brain washed, zombified, or glassy eyed people
bless your day

You have been in Waco? That explains your bias and universal disdain for what you don't have a clue about.
You know most 'religious people' chose to come out of darkness into the light of the gospel. They were not born religious. You probably never had a serious discussion with one where you actually listened.

Ever notice how, when atheists talk, nothing of value comes out of their mouth. Does it give you pleasure to tear down other people simply for their right to believe whatever they want?
Notice, I have not said I'm Christian, Muslim, Jewish, Budist, etc. I am a 'religious' person, but don't understand why people rip people for their freedom to believe. THAT'S THE REASON THIS GREAT COUNTRY IS HEAR IN THE FIRST PLACE, PEPLE EXPERIENCED RELIGIOUS PERSECUTION AND LEFT TO START HERE.....WHY ARE YOU PERSECUTING PEOPLE??!!!!
