If the principal doesnt handle it I would recommend the police. They can get the boy the help he so obviously needs. He may be having problems at home so try and find some help that could end this problem because if someone doesnt talk to him he may come to school with a gun and instead of threatening he may actually kill someone. just tell your daughter to be careful and let you know if he says anything again
Good Luck God Bless and I'll keep you and your daughter in my prayers

If this kid is still enrolled at that school:
Go to the police, carrying a concealed weapon on school grounds is a felony. Being threatened with a weapon is a felony. File a complaint with the police department.
Next, find out when the next school board meets and ask to be put on its agenda. You may want to talk to the school superintendent first and give them a heads up, but explain to the super, that it is your intent to have this child removed from this school (and if you feel the principal is not handling the situation correctly then he should be on the chopping block as well).
Next, alert your local media, TV or newspaper, to the situation and make sure they will be there at the school board meeting. Schools are less influenced by "Johnny's Dad's Money" when there is a camera shoved in their face.
Being suspended for a week is really light punishment considering the zero tolerance exhibited by all schools across the nation (and many parts of the world). I know in our school you would be out... for good, find yourself a private school or go to alternative school (where they do have metal detectors).

Wow, that is scary. You should be extremely proud of her. Since he made a verbal threat/communicating threat and pushed her those are definitely grounds for a permanent suspension from school. He also said he had a weapon in his pocket and nowadays you can never be too careful with the safety of your child in the public school system.
You could also get a restraining order against him. I know that this might sound ridiculous but if it keeps her safe then it's what needs to be done.

your daughter sounds like a good kid. The kid that she told on obviously has problems. Make sure the principal tells the teacher to keep that kid away from you daughter. maybe get her in a karate class too.
Hope this gets resolved and you daughter doesnt suffer any emotional damage from this. Good luck. :)

I would be on the phone again to the school and ask how it was taken care of. I would demand a meeting with the principal and the boys parents as well and ask for him to be expelled.

Keep in touch with the school to make sure they are keeping a watchful eye. Make sure your daughter lets you know if this kid says or does anything else to her. You should be proud of your daughter...that took guts.

Unfortunately this is a situation that is best left up to the school administration to solve for the time being. You need to give them a little time to involve the boy's parents if need be. Keep close tabs on your daughter and talk to her about any harrassment she is getting from the other kid. A last ditch effort would be transferring her to another school. Good luck!

If this brat continues, go to the police. You may also want to consider martial arts lessons for your daughter.
