I know a Ray (first name: Raymond).
I didn't know that Gay is algo used as a surname in English... interesting.
Once I read in a dictionary that gay may mean happy, ain't I right?
Ben Gay sounds, in Portuguese, sth like "very gay" (bem gay)...
Don't worry, if you are or once were or even will be, about it. Eventually, names are arbitrary and have nothing to do with the object/person/entity they refer to. F. de Saussure thaugh us about that very well.
