Yes, but it's more a occupation than a war, I believe George W Bush already declared victory in the war part of this whole messy plan. Most Americans care about our soldiers over there but with all the other worries about a "rigged" election coming, immigration which is a vital issue, and just the legitimacy of our government is a worry many have and this tends to take attention away from Iraq, if you remember the real war was suppose to be in Afghanistan, not Iraq. And now with the nuclear talk coming up again it's no wonder the attention and support our troops are getting has diminished. This is not the fault of Americans, it's the fault of this administration in their inability to do anything right and honest. Shame on Bush and all the people who back him, you can support our troops without supporting our president and the idiots running this occupation.

Very few remember. But the ones that have a soldier over there fighting or the Mothers that are here with empty arms with nothing to hold but a picture and a flag because their child was killed in a foreign land fighting in the war. Have you ever wondered why none of the presidents kids, grand kids, great grand kids or any of the high up government peoples kids are never sent to war?
The Iraq people that took over the planes and hit the twin towers and other buildings did not get on a plane in Iraq and fly over here to do that. They were already here in America and took flying lesson here was trained in the killer foreign camps that they have set up in America and got on a plane here. Our soldiers are over there dying and the Iraq people are over here going to our schools learning everything they can about our government and taking the solders place at work. Take a look at all the Doctors now days. It will not be long and you will not be able to find an American born White or black Doctor. Look who owns most of the business now. When you can get a job how does it feel to work for somebody that was born over seas and that we have been at war with? This will most likely be deleted by someone before anyone reads it but at least I had my say.

We know it but were going to fix that little problem by declaring victory and going home enough of this world crusade garbage! It's over we can't afford it any more so get over it. This stupid war will come to an end in 2008 anybody who wants to keep fighting this war will not be elected in 2008.

It's hard to know since we aren't paying for it financially. In every other war time, taxes are raised to help pay for it. This is one way people are reminded of the war. Bush lowered taxes (to the top two tax brackets), so the entire Iraq war is being paid for with credit. So our children will sure know that we were at war when they pay for it.

The libs don't. They think UBL is in a bunker under the White House, playing cards with Cheney and Rumsfeld, after having made a deal to keep the price of oil high.

At least I think I heard something to that effect spewing out of mother sheehan's pie-hole

Can someone please push the big red button - pretty pleeeze - I'll volunteer to do it. - oh lookie - Tehran go boomboom

Matt, disregard all these answers which demonstrate the shallowest of thinking.

Yes, we are at war, a war of nearly incomprehendible dimension, that of a conflict between Good and Evil. Many Christians feel that this is the Final Struggle, that alluded to in Revalations, by which the Antichrist will emerge.

P'raps so. I do personally believe that America has the absolute right to attack any and all who endanger our way of life here. And I am so concerned by the large number of folks who seem to stick their heads in the sand, unwilling to foresee the impending danger America, and other free, democratic republics are facing.

GOD BLESS EACH OF OUR TROOPS, AND OUR CAUSE.
