Is it possible to activate a second hand sky card?

I have bought a second hand sky box with viewing card with the hope to get free view - I have most channels I want except channel 4 and 5. Is there a reason for this? Is there anything I can do?

no.its expired..you will have to re register with sky and they will send you a new one.
