Where do you live? If it's warm where you live, then go to Chicago or N.Y. and grab some awesome pizza.
If it's cool at your hometown, on the other hand, go to San Diego - veeeeery nice beach, and the place is a blast. Or, shoot for Miami (Miami Beach) ... another good one.

Save up and wait until you can fly international. Go to Thailand or Australia or Italy. The US is boring. New Orleans was about the only interesting place to go, but it is basically gone now.
