as long as there was proof to satisfy me then converting would be no problem.

Yes, I would. That's how I deconverted and became an atheist in the first place. There was rock solid evidence that religion is all imaginary and no rock solid evidence of any gods actually existing.
Of course, I'm open to new evidence. If any does come in that points to the existence of any gods (and it would have to be rock solid evidence), I might be convinced by it.

I do not believe that there is anything like a true religion or a false religion.
ALL the religions on earth are just an attempt of man to understand and connect with the almighty God.
The greatness of a particular religion does not lie in proving itself that it is the only "true religion" or by "miracles". If your religion is truly "great", as some people may want to call it, you will automatically be able to see the "truth" in the other religions. In other words, you will realize that all religions are true.
A "great" religion is based on everlasting principles, morals and ethics that transcend time. It teaches us to see the true inner light- the light of the spirit, which is the only safe light to go by. Miracles are only stumbling blocks.

If there were any evidence for the existence of a god, I'd consider it. If there were "solid, rock hard evidence" then of course I'd believe it.
The fact that there isn't any such evidence is all too clear when you look at what happens here on this site. The believers rabidly push non-evidence as though it were evidence. Obviously if they had anything, we'd have LONG SINCE heard about it. We haven't, so there isn't.

I'd have to look at who was presenting the rock hard evidence and what they were hoping to gain from it (i.e. "proving" they were right and converting everyone else).
Most likely no way.

From a holy book, The Kasidah, Part IV: All faith is false; all faith is true: Truth is the shattered mirror strewn in myriad bits, while each believes their tiny bit, the whole to own.
There is no ultimate truth. All have a part of the truth. Finding your own truth is a measure of your spirituality.
