Plan ahead. As with all household goods, including food and toilet paper, maintain an ongoing shopping list. As something gets low add it to the list and get it on your next shopping trip.

You will need to apply a bit of common sense. No matter whether you shop once a week, once a month, every two weeks, etc. you will need to work out your consumption between shopping trips then add on 50% - this is your minimum stock level and when you fall below this on any item, add it to the list.

The reason for the 50% add-on is to allow for unforeseen problems (car breakdown, illness) which may prevent your going when you normally would; it also allows for the unexpected visit of family or guests.

There is such a thing as learning from past experiences. If your still going down the same path of not enough toilet paper you have not learned from your past experiences. So Buy in bulk, stock up and keep inventory and you will be sure to have plenty for the holidays and all your guest. Or you could post sign Number 2 is not allowed shortage of toilet in da house.

Get plenty in on the morning of your guests visit! If you should run out whilst you are redecorating you could tell your guests to tear a strip off of the wallpaper (unless the sight of a half naked rear end running around the dining room looking for a strip of wallpaper would put the rest of your guests off of their meal). The moral of this is don't try to economise on this product in your home or you will be in the sh*t!

It's usually because (I swear its true) but guests use up more loo roll, we once had some people over to dinner, there were only about nine of them but they managed to use up one and a half rolls, how did they do it? Were they making toilet roll art pieces? We just have loads and loads of toilet roll as a spare. (but we don't put it where guests can see from the throne, or they'll think we're millionnaires and use it all up) Its a sick twisted world out there....

a few suggestions:

a. stock up on toilet roll - especially if you eat a lot of curry.

b. Send out invites to your dinner parties with BYOBR on it (Bring Your Own Bog Roll)

c . use the curtains

d. give each of your guests a cork when thay arrive.

lol lol lol lol lol

Thankx for the laugh but it's sods law! There's never any loo roll in the bathroom when I go in there - I think my kids must eat it!

Your question reminded me of an interesting fact I was told by a friend- every single person has at least 2 grams of jobby in their pants at any one time- it's just a fact of underwear. Though I imagine that when people visit you, it's more like 20 grams!

For the sake of your health, maybe you shold think about taking better precautions when it comes to safe toileting.

I have a hunch they are probably using more toilet paper per person than they should. So stock up as much as you can beforehand- even if you need to store or hide it in unusual locations. (For the cheapest price per roll, try bulk at one of those warehouse stores/clubs whenever you get a free membership card in the mail.)

Well that is sod's law. So, best to change your shopping habits - buy some everytime you go shopping whether you need it or not. Or, get two packs next time and one every time after so that there is always a back up pack. That'll save embarassing times when entertaining.

Because you don't buy the 24 pack that will last you longer.
Even when you still have half a pack it is always good to buy another pack for back up.
