The return of Christ TO THE EARTH will happen after the 7 years of tribulation prophesied by the Prophet Daniel. (The 70th week of Daniel.) He will return with all The Saints mounted on horses for battle and will defeat the hoards of the wicked. He will rule the earth for 1,000 years from Jerusalem. There will be no war or illness in the world during that time.

Christian Answer: Jesus' 1st arival was to be a sacrifice for sin. That through His death the penalty for our sin has been paid. Thus restoring the relationship between God and man (for those who believe and accept His gift)
His 2nd coming is as Lord of Lord and King of Kings. Jesus returns to set up His kingdom where those who have accepted Him live with Him forever!

Christians believe he will come back in teh clouds surrounded by angels to judge and take home his own. Mislims blieeve he will retern to convert all to islam. even the bible says Jesus will rule with a rod of Iron for 100 years, I presume that is after he took those who trusted him to heaven.

Jesus said to them, "It is not for you to know times or seasons which the Father has put in His own authority. But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be *witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."
Now when He had spoken these things, while they watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight. And while they looked steadfastly toward heaven as He went up, behold, two men stood by them in white apparel, who also said, "Men of Galilee, why do you stand gazing up into heaven? This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven."

According to the Bible, Jesus was supposed to have returned sometime within the lives of the disciples. This, apparently, did not happen.

Jesus Christ will return to judge all those who reject Him as Lord and as the one and only Son of the one and only living God; and reward those that accept and follow Him.

We are told that man is unable to live successfully without Godly intervention. The world will continue to get worse and worse and then one day it will be so unbearable that the Lord will say enough! Then he will come down from the sky and pull the plug! There is no Rapture or anything silly like that.
