Here is what you need to do, if you are serious about losing weight and keeping it off. Eat 6 small meals a day about every 4 hours. Here what that will do for you, your metabolism will increase (i.e. Loose weight) and you will have more engry. If you go on a diet and eat less, your metabolism will slow down and store to fat. That is why diets dont work. Only the size of your fist, carbs (examples:baked potato, pasta, oatmeal, beans, corn, melon, apples, fat free yogurt, whole wheat breads)in one and protien (examples:chicken breast, swordfish, shrimp, turkey breast) in the other. You can also eat vegetables and salads with any meal, they dont have none or little fat). 30min cardo exercise every day. Any of these(examples: walking, jogging, swimming, running, biking, ect), Monday cardo, tues upper body (arms: curls, tricep extensions, pull ups, front press)(abdominals: leg pull crunch, leg raises), (chest: bench press, butterfly, pullover)(shoulders: front press, arm pullover, cross county skier machine)(back:seated row, lat pull downs, back extension)(YOU DONT HAVE TO DO IN ONE DAY, mix it up) wed cardo, thurs lower body (legs: leg pull, leg press, squats, lounges) fri cardo, sat upper. Sunday eat anything you want and dont exercising, you do this on sunday so your body doesnt go into starvation mode. YOU NEED TO TAKE SUNDAY OFF. If you stilck with this you will have a great body. also drink aleast 8oz of water daily! Stay away from Mcdonals, Wendys, ect because there is nothing good for you on the menu's even the salads are bad (beaon bits, cheeze, dressing, ect) Good Luck :)

1st - Forget the 'diet' - they don't work. As soon as you stop the 'diet', you gain back the lost weight + more. This is because your body thought it was being starved whilst you were deiting. So when you resume back to normal eating patterns, your body thinks 'I better store this food, incase we go into starvation mode again'. Stored = Fat - Get it. 2nd - Just eat healthy foods, fresh fuit & veg, wholgrain rice, bread & pasta, Chicken and Fish. Always have breakfast, lunch and diner. If you can go without in between, do so. 3rd - Exercise is key !!!!!!!!! and is full of 'the feel good factor' the same as you get from chocolate. If your calorie intake a day were for example 1800 then you need to exercise & burn off more than 1800 calories each day. You need to find out what your calorie intake should be, this is calculated by age, height, weight etc and is called BMI (Body Mass Index). Any good fitness/gym instructor will do this for you, but your GP would be better. 4th - At just 14 you need to make sure that you do things correctly, as your bones & muscle are still at development stage. Therefore, exercise could be as dangerouse as dieting. Do your home work first - when you have had the proffesstional advice, start off slowly and gradulally increase your exercise input over a period of time, steady weight loss is far better than loosing it quickly. Remember DIETS DON'T WORK - HEALTHY LIFESTYLE DOES. Best wishes & good luck XxX

Water and exercise can affect weight loss/gain on a diet. You should drink at least eight 8 oz. glasses of water each day (spread over the course of the day). When you're on a diet to lose weight, your body needs more water to flush out the toxins that is produced from burning fat (in addition to the normal water your body needs anyway). If you don't get enough water, your body will start to retain it, especially if you're consuming too much salt.

Exercise can also make you gain weight but this type of weight gain isn't bad. When you start an exercise program, your body builds up muscle mass. Muscle mass is denser than fat, so it weighs more than fat. If you're gaining weight because of exercising, it doesn't mean you're not burning fat. It's totally possible (in fact, probable), that you can gain weight and still lose inches from your waist. Eventually, the weight gain levels off.

Also, it's possible that the diet is providing you with more protein than you were getting before the diet. Added protein helps build muscles.

bodies store fat for energy, if the body feels it is being starved of energy it goes onto autopilot and starts using up its resources and it varies from person to person so ur weight gain may be normal for u but not for someone else.
keep at it though and make sure u excerise regularly.
i used the 3 day diet to give me a head start once and it worked great. 10lbs in 3 days. after that i went on to a low fat diet. i love chocolate too much though so now im back to a tub of lard.

Diets are seldom helpful. I have sometimes looked at so-called diets and noticed that they involve eating more food in a day than I ever would. Maybe you should ditch it and just start buying healthy food. You can eat fruit and veg until it comes out your ears and you won't put on weight. Obviously you should be taking more exercise as well.

I heard that sometimes when you start dieting your body needs to adjust. So I think one of the side effects of adjustment is weight gain. But since it's 4 pounds, there's a pretty good chane that it's water.

Usually you body isn't use to your diet yet. I would say that you should wait a little longer, like a week. If you are still gaining weight stop that diet.

Let's face it, some diets are just flat out lies. However, if you really think that this diet should actually work, then just give your body time, but if it doesn't improve soon I would try something Else. Good luck!

Your body is adjusting. It senses that less calories are coming in so it has started to store energy. Any diet takes time to work. Stick with it. Once your body gets used to a reduced calorie intake, it will store less and you will loose weight.

Diets don't work permanently anyway.
Run 2 miles per day, 6 days per week(forever).
Get a great pair of running sneakers.Get clothes that keep you cool when working out.
Good Luck
