I worked with an officer who is now in prison for robbing banks. He did it in his own district, with his own gun AND in uniform. We'd show up on the scene and he'd be running around the bank saying, "You go this way and I'll go this way."
Imagine that. And he would have shot us all down like dogs. They arrested him coming into to work. He said, "It's about time."
He got 25 years and in this state--you have to do at least 85% of your entire time. There is no parole.

"how can people stick up for these monsters"
- By filing grievances. Even if you hear that nothing will be done, if anyone threatens you or tries to talk you out of it. It happens to be a citizen's only resource to fight police corruption.
A grievance may be the last drop that overflows a cup. You may send the statement higher above the political chain. But if you do not write, and swear your statement, you have absolutely nothing to fight with

I have known for some time that all off law inforcement is crooked in every county and every state. But they feel that they are above the law, and unfortunately the judicial systems prove that they are, by giving them a slap on the wrist if that. it is basically a signed permission slip to do whatever hey want. so of course they all do.

Guess what , there are bad people in all walks of life...how many priests molest children, how many teachers molest students, how many soldiers rape and murder civilians, or how about how many blacks deal drugs and shoot people... the illegal activities of some people should not be used to generalize an entire group of people

Yea i know it sucks..Igot respect For cops but this is so sad...Can you imagine the type of crap the good officers in Virgina are going to go through....It'll be stupid if a cop goes to prison b/c he will not be very popular in that he arrested some in the jail...But the bad cops in Virginia are starting to pay first the humiliation to them and their family next will be jail time....

i agree they should face stiffer punishments since they are the law, they know the laws and they are breaking the laws i also think politicians should also face stiffer penalties instead of going to "country club prisons" to do time they should be thrown to the wolves

I can understand how you feel. It is bad when we fear the police just as much or more than criminals.
