Obviously they dont care about customers returning very much. They should of given you the cup without paying for it. Especially if it was for your 5 yr. old child. I think they lost more by you never returning to the coffee shop than them giving you an extra cup.

Usually double cupping is done automatically for tea because the water used is hotter than that used for coffee. The same goes for hot chocolate. It should be an offer of gratis for young children as an offer of respect for the age and parenting. I would boycott them from now on and make a stand as a consumer! Besides, the cost to them might be 5 cents.

There are 2 sides to every coin. When it comes to fountian drinks, coffee (anything in bulk) they are charged by the cups they use & not the amount of liquid sold. So they were not doing it to be mean. My younger brother worked at a place like this & could drink all that he wanted for free as long as he brought his own cup. If he used one of their paper cups then he would have to pay for it. Seems odd but just the way that buisness is.

that is absolutely ridiculous if they asked you to pay for another hot chocolate. the cup costs them almost nothing and its for a little child too. you shouldnt have to pay for anything. i'ma grown person and whenever i buy anything hot to drink i always ask for it to be double cupped and its done without any extra cost.

only about 5cents to cover cost of the cup. Keep a cozy in your car...one of those things U can put a soda can in to keep cold...sold every where...they work great for hot cocoa to and helps the hands from being to hot to handle.

No, that's just plain crazy. In that case, you should have just gotten a lot of extra napkins to wrap around the cup instead of paying for the extra cup.

I've seen them ask for a quarter but not another hot chocolate price.
