my girlfriend recently told me that she has a problem. She can't seem to get a guy out of her head, they were never together, and she knows they never will, he made that very clear, but she can't stop think of him. She actually wants to stop thinking about him, but she can't. This has become a burden on our relationship because I can see and feel that I'm not the one on her mind. I don't know what to do now, it's been a few months now. I love her very much, I just don't feel she loves me back. I don't know wether I should wait for her to sort it out, or break up with her.

Just because she is thinking of someone else doesnt mean that she doesnt love you. Its not really like that. I have a friend that I thought of a lot, I am married, but if the oportunity arose I would know that I would have said no, that my husband was the most impotrtant thing (I told him about it before we got married and he asked me 'if you had the chance would you do anything?' I told him no and he was happy enough with that) For her to be honest with you about it though was a huge thing. Its really hard to tell your man something like that, so clearly she cares a lot. I would stay with her and see how things go

I just read where someone told you to have her prove she loves you and to buy her presents. That is such a bad answer, you can't buy love and you shouldn't have to try and get her to prove it. Love shows naturally. I doubt this girl loves you, when your IN LOVE you don't have a different person on your mind. It's the person you love that you can't get off your mind. But if it helps any, I doubt she loves the other guy either, she's probably just infatuated with him. But to answer your question, if you don't mind sharing her then stay with her, if you want her completely to yourself then you'd better break it off before you get hurt.

Leave the relationship. Don't you think that yo deserve better? Shouldn't you be with someone who loves you back? Why would you even concider being with a person who is clearly loving or wanting to be with another. Don't waste your time on her any longer.

I'm probably not the one to answer, since I'm going through a somewhat similar situation right now. If you see her and talk to her, and she seems caring toward you, I would wait. Big credit to her for being upfront and honest about it. Do what you feel is best, but I personally believe in waiting if you feel she is worth waiting for.

It sounds like she has a school girl's crush...and she needs to move along. Shame on her for dumping this on you...as if it wouldn't bother you! If I were you I would be mad as hell. You need to tell her to grow up or your going to move on. It sounds as though you have been more than understanding...there are alot of nice girls out there waiting for a nice guy...why waste your time with someone who wants the unattainable? Good luck....

Sort it out. think about it. maybe you have someone else on your mind at times to. with time shell get over him think of it this way. SHES HONEST WITH YOU. she could have hid it from you but she never. she wants you to no that sh e does like/lve you. its okay to ave a crush. but she knows your the one shes with. and she wont ever try to ruin it. if she knows she has no chance then give her time. but if she doesnt stop "obsessing" over him in the next months end it. let her get over him and perhaps give it another shot.

Break up with and give her time to get over this guy. You deserve to be with someone who loves you back.

Just talk to her about it. Tell her your feelings for her and tell her that if she doesn't feel the same to let you know so you can move on. You might be able to work things out. If not, it is time to part ways.

Follow your instincts... they are there for a reason! And from the looks of it and the way you described your situation... she's not worried about your feelings, otherwise she wouldn't be fantasizing about another man.
