I feel like all my time revolves around her happiness and thereby all my usual guy pleasures cease to exist. It just seems that every other moment I'm being accused of "not listening", "checking out women" , "not calling her enough", etc. I just envy guys who get to do whatever they want and not have to explain their actions to a demanding girlfriend. Then again...being single may mean being lonely and not having someone there to share things with....I'm on the fence...and need some suggestions.

I've been divorced for about 5 years and haven't dated seriously since. Lately I started seeing a woman and I couldn't help noticing that she occupied all of my time. It sucked! I guess I've grown used to doing whatever whenever and I like it that way. So I had to break it off.

I guess if I am ever going to be in a relationship again, she's going to have to be really awesome.

I think you need to find a more reasonable girlfriend. Mature girls understand that their guys need to have some guy time. Your girlfriend should be spending time with her friends and give you a chance to miss her. I'm afraid that many girls love the life of drama and need to feel their man is into them, so they obsess about the time/energy you put into the relationship instead of just enjoy the time you are together. Tell your girlfriend what you wrote and tell her you care about her, but need more than one person in your life.

Life would be better if we all stopped dating. Why can't we just focus on what WE want, instead of what someone else wants? Being single doesn't mean being lonely — you've got friends and a family, right?

Being single is great most of the time except for those lonely nights.
Tell your girlfriend you need some man time and she has to let you have that.

sorry not a male but I am answering anyways. I think maybe you are not with the right type of woman, if she constricts you too much then she may not be right for you. There are woman out there who can give you freedom and not nag as much. If you remain single yeah you can have meaningless sex with whomever you please but who will you confide in when you have a problem, who will you snuggle up with when its cold out, who will make sure you have a nice home cooked meal every night? I could go on and on but I am sure you get my point. Find the right woman!

Being madly in love with somebody doesn't mean you have to give her everything
you got a life man you just have to tell her that

if you are single....then there is no one to nag you about all the things you do wrong. and that sucks.

maybe you just need a better g/f. every guy hates having a girlfriend when they are with the wrong woman. i hated having a boyfriend to answer to. then i found my husband. and it's totally different.

maybe u just need a new gf if u rnt happy wit that one, but think of a gf like having a friend better than a best friend, u dont have to meet all her demands, i mean do wat u want and if she can't understand that u have a life other than her than find a new one
