i'm a christian and a wiccan at the same time, :) confused? it's because the bible was altared, in the bible's before king james it said: thou shalt not suffer a poisoner to live.

not witch wich means that the old test. doesnt have anything against witches, infact back then (in old test. times) the priests were shown to use witchcraft as a religious practice, but along the way they did it less (people thought it made them gods, they started getting worshipers) and then christ came and said not to use magick anymore (most likley for that reason) so it isnt going against god "if you know how to use it the right way" use it the way god would have wanted you to.

and no i never had the thought of burning myself at the stake :)

i dont serve two masters, i have one god, not two i worship the one god, no others! but i believe there is a goddess if you read the Genesis then you will see that god was speaking about more then one god, like in this verse. (Genesis 3:22) "And the Lord God said, behold, the man is become one of "us" to know good and evil: and now, lest he put forth his hand, and take also of the tree of life, and eat, and live for ever:"

The other deity that is spoken about in the bible is Sophia; these two beings are of Judaeo-Christian origin, not Wicca – Wicca follow the Great Mother Goddess and Horned God, so are very different from the god that you follow. Genesis 3:22 does not mention either the Great Mother Goddess or the Horned God as these are gods of Wicca, where as in Christianity unsurprisingly they follow the Christian god.

A person cannot be Wicca and Christian at the same time, it is impossible to combine two religions because religions are very specific on their beliefs practices and doctrines – to be part of a religion you must follow all that the religion in question follows, if you follow another religion then you are not part of that first religion.

Wicca is in itself a religion without laity so is a priesthood, this priesthood requires initiation not just as entrance into the priesthood but because Wicca are oath-bound meaning that they will only share information on their religion with people who are Wicca themselves – all that you learn about Wicca from other sources is 'outer-court' teachings, these teachings are often placeholders to either explain to others or in order to help a coven teach a new member without breaking their oaths. These inner-court teachings that are kept oath-bound are passed down from Wicca to Wicca so there is an unbroken line where the information about Wicca is shared, this information includes beliefs, practices, doctrines, mysteries and gods identities so without this information not only is a person not practicing Wicca but do not know the basis of Wicca – this is how Wicca protect the integrity of their faith from people changing it to suit their needs, and so information being lost. No Wicca coven would initiate someone, or even train someone for initiation, if they claimed to be both Christian and Wicca.

Christian is a little father spanning, however the core ideas are the belief in God, Jesus Christ, Heaven & Hell, and the concept of sin – Wicca do not have any of these, and all these beliefs are a necessity to being a Christian, it is also required that there is only one god and that Jesus is the only way to salvation.

You are right about being able to be both Christian and witch, there ave been Christian witches long before Wicca ever existed and in far greater numbers - this question on whether one can be Christian and witch is down to bible translation, however for the most part it is down to how the church differentiated between the magic of Christ and the magic of their believers.

As a Wiccan, I do not believe you can be a Wiccan and Christian at the same time. You can be a Christian that agrees with certain Wiccan pricinipals, but I truly believe you cannot be both.

However - you can be a WITCH and Christian at the same time. I think this is where you're confusing your terms. Witchcraft was, and still is, practiced by many people who are Christian/Catholics. An awful lot of pagan peoples, especially in Italy (not singling out Italians here, just saying) converted to Christianity to avoid being killed but kept their spells and curses for home. That's what an awful lot of "kitchen witches" still are, and there's nothing wrong with it. That's also why so many very religious Christian people still fear the "evil eye". Kabblah is a "magick" religion and it's fimly based in Judaism. So you can be a Christian and a Witch at the same time.

However, you cannot, in my opinion, be Wiccan and Christian at the same time. Wicca is not the same as witchcraft. Some Wiccans practice witchcraft, some chose not to. The two terms are not synonymous. Of course, there are other opinions, and it depends entirely on how "loosely" you define Christianity AND Wicca. Here's an excellent article on the subject.

No No No No, the only thing altered in the bible was his name was taken out and and a few words were changed. but those things are changed back now. if you are part christian than you believe that God is the most power full. if he can give Jesus power to walk on water bring back the dead. create life create the earth and man. then why is it so hard to believe that he can keep the bible his word accurate. Jesus only taught what God wanted him to teach. So if he said to stop practicing witchcraft then that's whats supposed to be done. besides a lot of those priests that were into that stuff caused a lot of trouble for Gods people. Good Enough?

Actually you have the bible quote slightly off from what I know. I believe it originally said "Thou shalt not suffer an oath breaker to live." as the old text used the word "Worloga" which means oath breaker. It wasn't until the Inquisition that when a witch betrayed his/her coven and gave the names of others that the other coven members called him/her a Warlock (probably a mispronunciation of Worloga).

And you are correct about priests preforming magick back then, but to keep it separate a priest preformed "wizardry" while a woman performed "witchcraft". This made it easier for the church to say it was okay for priests to do magick but not okay for women.

I assume you're referring to Exodus 22:18 "Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live." The word translated as "witch" is the Hebrew word "kashaph," meaning a sorcerer or sorceress. "Kashaph" does not mean "poisoner."

In essence, a sorcerer (witch) is an idolator, which is an abomination to God. Such a person will not enter into Heaven:

Revelation 21:8 "But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and SORCERERS, and IDOLATORS, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death."

It is not possible to be a witch AND to be Born Again; they are mutually exclusive. Although you consider yourself to be a Christian, God tells you you're not.

So what will you do with this knowledge?

Peace.

I newer translation still says you are wrong...
Deuteronomy 18:9-11 (New American Standard Bible)
9"When you enter the land which the LORD your God gives you, you shall not learn to imitate the detestable things of those nations.

10"There shall not be found among you anyone who makes his son or his daughter pass through the fire, one who uses divination, one who practices witchcraft, or one who interprets omens, or a sorcerer,

11or one who casts a spell, or a medium, or a spiritist, or one who calls up the dead.

You are living is sin if you do this things. You need to turn to Christ without reservation confess sin in your life and look to Christ and Christ only for your salvation... Right now you are NOT a christian... Jim

You cant serve 2 Gods thats against the bible, so your already going against being "Christian". The bible says that worshoping anyother Gods is an abomination to the Most High. You contridicted your self so many times in that statement.... i think you should go back and read the bible sounds like your going off what people have told you not what you have read and proven yourself. The bible says study to prove yourself...not just believe what you have been told. Prove it!

Renounce any involvement in Wicca, if you want to be considered a believer in Christ.
Your heart is impure.

No one can serve two masters. Either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other.

If they have been born deaf then they could haven't any thought of language, except they have been taught written language with phonetics. Deaf folks do understand how to talk and do talk relatively with ease, so it is logical to anticipate they may be able to observe that language to their inner ideas. However, in the event that they grew to become deaf through the years then they could believe in language and in an photograph comparable manner like each person else. It does variety from individual to individual. Those who can nonetheless listen do believe in pictures and graphics. It's tough to generalize and great if we do not. Interesting query.

Altered how? The fallacy of your question is the false premise upon which it's founded. Having studied the Greek AND contemporary English translations, you're safe in reading the bible.

Being wicca and Christian is like being dead and alive. You are one or the other . Not both.
