I was there the last 3 years, finished in ther money when joe won, very nice fellow, and in the top 30 this year. my question is, Why is it that most people on the freaking table get so excited every hand?

I was playing with Cunningham who busted me and he was a gent about it, but some morons that were in the lead were jumping like crazy??? i am calm. how can you tell a dude to relax without starting a scrap?

You really cannot. There are people playing who are literally addicted to the adrenaline cause by the swings. No matter how much you may know that keeping an even emotional keel matters, there will always be people who ride the emotional rollercoaster. My typical response is to lead by example, when you win, be gracious, when you lose keep your cool. The more you see people doing the fist pump and the ranting after every hand the more you should use their emotions against them. If they feel they are running hot you may be able to get them to overcommit to a pot in which they're an underdog. If they feel they are getting jinxed at the table, you should be able to represent a hand when a scare card comes off.

Best of luck, and congratulations on getting to play with some real class players (not just the real as$ players)

You would think people showing emotions like that would be easy to "read". I have never played WSOP (lucky you) but some larger cash games as well as local tournaments.. I love playing against people who can't hold there emotions.. Good or bad..
