Well at 51 years old I'd have to say that I would not date (if I was dating) anyone under the age of 48 or over the age of 53. I know a couple of fella's who are a couple of years older than me and they are dating women in their early 30's. This is far too big of an age difference in my opinion and I have let these males know what I thought of it also. But like many other men they feel they have a trophy chick, even though they have nothing in common. Even the music that they enjoy shows the difference in their ages and generations in which they grew up.

being an adult (18+) my fiance is 5 years younger than me. Relationship can take a toll on age differences but as long as both people connect and work on making the relationship work then age shouldn't be a factor.

Personally, I would NEVER date anyone younger than myself, nor would I date a person more than 10 years my senior.
