I think I might understand. I have been furious with God. I've screamed obscenities at Him that I don't scream at other people. I have had problems believing in Him in my heart, while never doubting His existance with my mind. In my mind God let me down. The problem I never understood is that I had no right to expect my life to live up to my expectations for it. Almost every hero in the Bible went through greater trials than I have. The only expectation I should have of God is that He will not forsake me, and will help me get THROUGH my trials, not over or around them.

I don't hate God, I just don't think he exists. He certainly doesn't exist in any of the forms that the major religions promote. If he did, I would hate him. Take the christian god, he is mean, vengeful and incredibly insecure, (needs people to file into church each week and tell him how great he is.) He allows atrocities to be committed in his name. How could anyone respect, let alone worship, this kind of god. The same types of things can be said about any of the major religion gods.

I cannot say I hate god. I hate religions for manipulating people. But since they will say to their followers "You are the church", they will make my hatred addressed to all believers. But it's not ordinary believers I hate. I hate religions. And I cannot hate god, because I don't even thing there is one.

BTW, I think that maybe your faith issues may be somehow connected with those things about the church that I hate.

While we may not understand, God is always good. Consider the Book of Job. Job was wise because he never "cursed" God...even through all his misery. The real tragedy is how misunderstood God is....He suffers more than anyone else. And He has never done anything wrong. I highly recommend checking this out to know the love God has for you...

I dont hate god. I dont love him either. I dont think of "God" as the same way christians do. I think of "god" in a spiritual sense.....

I do not need to prove myself to god and I do not need to be saved by god. I do not picture "god" in a human form nor do I picture god even having any form. Seriously though....you need to believe in what you FEEL. And it takes a while to be able to know what you FEEL. It takes time. Please dont feel like you need to decide now or you will be doomed forever. God is whoever or whatever you want him/her/it to be.

Why focus on the negatives? Why not do some research? Find out more about your religion.. why you like it, why you have problems with it.. do you agree with all of it's tenants?

Have you taken the time to study other religions? Maybe by broadening your horizions, you'll realize why you want to stay with your religion or maybe why it's not for you.

I think using the word ''hate'' is very strong. Dislike is much better.

I had faith issues, too. I could not accept the concept of Jesus being G-d. G-d is One. So, I changed religions----to one that follows the path of G-d, but, not Jesus. Maybe this path is for you, too.
