In the south pacific its a male name also pronounced or spelled Pati....It also could stand for instance being tight with your money..."He is so paki".... I havent never heard of this being a races name...

It is spelt Wat which means temple. Not sure about the Pak unless you mean Pak which is the the front of some name places.Wat Po and Wat Arun are quite famous.
