According to the Christian bible, yes.
Also, anyone who lives a good life, helps with their community, loves their fellow man but happens to worship something other than the Christian god or doesn't worship anything at all, is going to hell by the bible's standards.
However, according to the bible, a convicted murderer/rapist/pedophile who at the last moments before they throw the switch or inject the needle, says "I'm sorry God, please forgive me".. he will go to heaven.
Riiiight.

The only basis I can give for this is the Bible. It frustrates me to see so many post answers declaring the Bible states something when they don't state what it actually says or show where!
Romans 1:18-20 says: 18 The wrath of God is being revealed from heaven against all the godlessness and wickedness of men who suppress the truth by their wickedness, 19 since what may be known about God is plain to them, because God has made it plain to them. 20 For since the creation of the world God's invisible qualities–his eternal power and divine nature–have been clearly seen, being understood from what has been made, so that men are without excuse.
So, creation shows their is a God.
Then he mentions Gentiles who have not heard the law here in Romans 2:12-16: 12 All who sin apart from the law will also perish apart from the law, and all who sin under the law will be judged by the law. 13 For it is not those who hear the law who are righteous in God's sight, but it is those who obey the law who will be declared righteous. 14 (Indeed, when Gentiles, who do not have the law, do by nature things required by the law, they are a law for themselves, even though they do not have the law, 15 since they show that the requirements of the law are written on their hearts, their consciences also bearing witness, and their thoughts now accusing, now even defending them.) 16 This will take place on the day when God will judge men's secrets through Jesus Christ, as my gospel declares.
So, Gentiles (non-Jews) will be judged by their secrets, their hearts. So, if you are saying a good person is a person who follows God's law (whether they know it exists or not), then yes, they seem to go to heaven.
As for worshipping other Gods, probably not. God is pretty jealous. The first commandment is to have no other gods but Him. Ultimately He will judge, so that's up to Him :)

Hells just a scare tactic humans made up and put into the bible to scare people into behaving. GOd is a loving God not a evil one. ANd if it was the other way around, how can a person be a good person if they went to heaven and had all of their loved ones burning in hell and except that?

hi Joe. God predestines no person to bypass to hell. Hell is the state of "self exclusion" from communion with God. Mortal sin is the only sin which will deliver a individual to hell. that's a grave infraction of the regulation of God that destroys the divine existence interior the soul of the sinner, constituting a turn far flung from God. For a sin to be mortal, 3 circumstances would desire to exist" a million. Grave remember.(as an occasion, homicide) 2. complete understanding of the evil of the act. 3. complete consent of the desire. people who've by no potential heard of Jesus do no longer prepare to the above circumstances. in the event that they stay stable lives they'll particularly bypass to heaven. on the different hand , many Christians are loosing their salvation.

After jesus died on the cross. It was mention in the book of Acts that he ministered to the souls in Hades. I believe these were ppl who never got the chance to know God. So my point is that only God can judge who goes to hell and who does't after all.. only God can read our heart. Well, today, its pretty rare for someone to not have heard of Christ. But,,, if they havn't I don't believe they just get sent to hell.
A big misconception that ppl have is of a God who cannot just wait to send ppl to hell. This is not true. he is a loving God who would do just about anything to bring us back to him. Yes, even huniliation and dead on the cross.

One does not have to believe in Jesus as G-d to go to heaven-if there is a heaven.
I do not understand why heaven is such a fixation. People should live for here and now and make their own heaven or hell right here on this earth. It can be a pretty good heaven.

If they didn't ever hear of Jesus Christ or his Gospel, they will go into Spirit prison where they will be given a chance to accept the Gospel, if they accept then they will be allowed into Paradise just as soon as their work is done here on earth. If they don't they will remain in Prison until the Resurrection.

You will only be judged for things that you know and choose to disobey. He will not judge you for things that you dont know, something becomes a sin only if you know that it is wrong but you choose to do it anyways. That is why the saying goes "with wisdom comes great responsability".

They live and they die just like the rest of us. If you do believe in God and believe something like that would happen then I would say your opinion of God was pretty low.
