Pretty good stuff.
It used to have rock candy in it when it was introduced at one of the world's fairs 100+ years ago.
Now it just has fruit (as a sweetener) in it, although i think you can still get a brand with the candy.

It is which in which unflavored rock candy has been dissolved and also fruit is added to the bottle as additional flavoring. It is very easy to make. Get any kind of whisky, add several strings of rock candy and your choice of raspberries, blackberries or any other fruit or fruit combination. Let it sit for a couple of weeks and enjoy. I have made it many times.

Rock and Rye whiskey is a Irish whiskey. (I've never seen any candy in it.)

It is great for a bad cold, my fiances father made me take it when I couldn't stop coughing and had trouble breathing, it worked miraculously!
