That passage is found in Revelations 20:10 - "The devil, who deceived them, was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone where the beast and the false prophet are. And they will be tormented day and night forever and ever."
When the final rebellion is put down by the Lord (see Revelations 10:8-9), the devil will join the beast (anti-Christ) and the false prophet (Rev. 19:20) in torment forever in the lake of fire (see also Rev. 14:10-11; Isaiah 14:12-13).
But for now, the devil roams the earth with other evil spirits, like a devouring lion to destroy faith (1 Peter 5:8); he makes people sick and diseased (Acts 10:38); he tempts to sin (Luke 22:3-4); he blinds the minds of unbelievers (2 Corinthians 4:4); he takes people captive to do his will (2 Timothy 2:26); and he kills (Revelation 2:10). But a time will come when Satan and his demons will be cast down to hell and God will one day do away with evil altogether (Matthew 25:41).

What I think you are referring to is in the 20th chapter of Revelation. However, this is referring to the second death from which there is no hope of returning from.
Revelation 20:7-10: 7 Now as soon as the thousand years have been ended, Satan will be let loose out of his prison, 8 and he will go out to mislead those nations in the four corners of the earth, Gog and Ma´gog, to gather them together for the war. The number of these is as the sand of the sea. 9 And they advanced over the breadth of the earth and encircled the camp of the holy ones and the beloved city. But fire came down out of heaven and devoured them. 10 And the Devil who was misleading them was hurled into the lake of fire and sulphur, where both the wild beast and the false prophet [already were]; and they will be tormented day and night forever and ever.
Then refer to Revelation 21:8 "But as for the cowards and those without faith and those who are disgusting in their filth and murderers and fornicators and those practicing spiritism and idolaters and all the liars, their portion will be in the lake that burns with fire and sulphur. This means the second death."
We have to remember that in the beginning verses of Revelation it states that this was presented to John in signs. Rev.1:1

No where. Lucifer is not in hell. Jesus is the only person in the Bible who talks about hell. Jesus also states that the Devil roams the earth (like a roaring lion) seeking whom to devour. So, the Devil is not yet in hell, but will be after the last days. Remember... hell is the devild punishment! not kingdom... and He doesn't want to go there alone.

Wher in your friend's bible does it say Lucifer ? please help.
The devil is cast into the lake of fire. The bible does not say anything about the wicked cast into the lake of fire. read Revelation 20. The dead are raised to be judged and all who have died before then are resurrected to life ( on eath ) again.

In the book of Revelation, the devil and the wicked are cast in the lake of fire. I can't think of the texts at this very moment.

Isaiah 14:12-15
12 How you have fallen from heaven,
O morning star, son of the dawn!
You have been cast down to the earth,
you who once laid low the nations!
13 You said in your heart,
"I will ascend to heaven;
I will raise my throne
above the stars of God;
I will sit enthroned on the mount of assembly,
on the utmost heights of the sacred mountain.
14 I will ascend above the tops of the clouds;
I will make myself like the Most High."
15 But you are brought down to the grave,
to the depths of the pit.
