Hair is to cover up any delicate area on the body. Example: You have Eyelashes and Eyebrows to block crap from getting in your eyes. Its the same deal with pubic hair.

Pubic hair is there for protection. It acts as a cushion, a barrier against foreign microbes(hygiene purposes) and for warmth & to keep cool.
All pubic hair is not curly. Pubic hair varies from person to person.

Pubic hair was originally intended to keep us warm and also to protect (in terms of hygiene) those areas (particular the penis and vagina). Although there has been no evolutionary elimination of these characteristics and that is why it still remains today. It is not characteristic of normal hair because the structural orientation that it takes keeps those areas warmer than if it was like normal hair.

Think about it would u really want straight hair down there?
It would grow and have to be cut all the time, and think for
the God part, it would get in the way during child birth!
Way back then they didn't have sharp enough items to cut
things that great, and in that area I want perfection.
Besides I don't think God wants anyone but your husband
to see that area of your body. This is only my option!

its so coincidental how you asked that question because i just learned about that yesterday. the reason for pubic hair or any hair on your body is to help keep out bacteria. pubic hair helps keep bacteria off your genitals. plus if we had normal straight hair instead on pubic hair by our genitals it wouldn't be such pretty sight now would it?! lol.

I don't know why god gave it to us but I know it kind of help with the prevention of Std's about 60%. It kind of work as a filter or but here is a website

It keeps dirt out of those areas. Now days we wear clothes and do not need as much, but it is part of evolution or for creationists. It held up the fig leaf.

I have read that it is to hold in our natural body scent which attracts the opposite sex for mating purposes like any other animal.

to stop people from wagging ur privets in public! dats why it looks disgusting.. besides dat, i think God wanted your privets to be nice and warm all the time.. fr your own good...

good question I'm not sure, it's said that the hair we have is to protect, like eyelashes, eye brows
