Well, in my experience, anything made of bread seems to be a great weight-gaining tool. I found out that one bagel (without cream cheese even!) is 320 calories. This caused me to stop eating bagels, but for someone like yourself who's trying to gain weight, you may want to start eating them. I also started gaining more weight when I started drinking more beer, since it's basically lliquid bread, but if you want to stay away from alcohol, just go with bread. And pasta. It's loaded with carbs and made of flour, so you do the math. Just make sure you also eat healthy foods high in protein, like meats and seafood. Oh, and have you tried eggs? They'll probably do the trick! I wish I could trade places with you...

Eating many small meals throughout the day actually increases your metabolism and helps you LOSE weight. If you want to gain weight you should add more protein into what you already eat (beef, fish, chicken, nuts, meal replacement bars as snacks) and begin lifting weights. You don't need to lift large weights and gain bulging muscle that most women don't want, but goto the gym and lift moderate weights and eating more protein will replace any fat you have with heavier weighing muscle without creating bulges. You want to focus on increasing strength and endurance but not bulk. Do a little research at the gym and people there should be able to help you.

ive been trying to gain weight for some time now. some months i`ll eat alot and weigh myself and see that im actually gaining but a week later ive lost it all again. im 6ft4 and weight 160lbs. my point is that i did some research and found out that i could have an over active thyroid gland. so no matter what i eat im only going to gain a few pounds and then lose it again.
go to your docter and have your thyroid checked out. something can be done to slow it down.
try it out. ive tried every thing, so this is my last attempt. good luck . jason glover.

Meat will pack on pounds. Also try starches! Potatoes, breads and such will help you gain the weight you are looking for. But if you want to do it right by matter of how your body works and such I would say consult a doctor first.

seriously, if you are eating healthy, and you are still "light" it may be that that is your bodies happy place.... however you can try to slow your motabolism down by eating many small meals all day long.... your body will burn less of the food because it has pleanty to eat from.
