The Bible is not outdated,It is still filled with many principles and guidlines that can and need to be followed down to our day.It is the only book from centuries ago..That Is NOT outdated....Regardless of what some people may think. Some people use that as an exuce to live the way they want to live to ..."Eat,Drink and be Married".Well, for the ones that think that way they can have their fill, but when Judgment day comes dont say that we didnt warn you.

I am Agnostic, and I do not believe the bible is out dated, it is a very good manual for living your life correctly, especially for those who are secure with ritual and others who are the tempted and week minded. In other words religion is the opiate of the masses (Marx) But where the bible thumpers come in, this is when people get turned off, we don't need to hear your constant babbling and how America needs to be run as a theocracy.

The bible is not the only book from centuries ago, but the only book mass reproduced.

That is what pisses me off about bible thumper is they all think Satanist are cannibals, pedophiles and perverts, when really that is mostly done by those that claim to be religious!

The Bible isn't outdated? Well... the world is in for quite a bit of a shake up, because everyone's been diciplining their unruly sons the -wrong- way..

Deuteronomy 21:18-21

18 "If a man has a stubborn and unruly son who will not listen to his father or mother, and will not obey them even though they chastise him,
19 his father and mother shall have him apprehended and brought out to the elders at the gate of his home city,
20 where they shall say to those city elders, 'This son of ours is a stubborn and unruly fellow who will not listen to us; he is a glutton and a drunkard.'
21 Then all his fellow citizens shall stone him to death. Thus shall you purge the evil from your midst, and all Israel, on hearing of it, shall fear.

So.. how many stones do you think we should get for the problems that kids are causing these days? ... this would probably help with the school crowding problems..

..and I won't get into the whole "two wives" thing..

I agree. The Bible is not outdated. Now, get your female butt ovcer here so I can treat you like a piece of property. Oh, and when Im done treating you like dirt, I'll sell you into sexual slavery - cuz thats cool in the Bible as well. Then, I will kill you for failing to obey your parents and speaking back to them - thats in the Bible too. And when you eat shellfish, Ill have you exectuated as well - thats against God... And when you judge others and tell them that they are going to go to hell - you will go there as well because it is against what your lord teaches....

Certainly, the Bible isnt outdated...... IF YOU STILL LIVE IN A CAVE.

I have never lived by the Bible. I DO live the way I want to, and I am quite content, thankyou =)

And you don't need to waste your breath warning people. We understand the dire consequences of living a free life, and Judgement Day will just suck for us.
PS- The bible is OLD.

"Don't pull the sliver out of your neighbor's eye before you pull the plank out of your own"

You know what- this is why there are so many people shying away from the Christian religion. I'm not saying you- so don't get me wrong.
We are so judgemental. We push people away. And usually the people we push away and judge the most harshly are the people who need the Christian faith the MOST.

"don't say we didn't warn you"??? You think to put yourself in the position to judge?!?!
Again, I'm not saying that I'm perfect (far from it), or that you are some terrible person (I'm very sure you aren't!), but if you are Christian then you know that God's love for us is UNCONDITIONAL, and Jesus died of ALL our sins. As long as we repent and are truely sorry, we are freed from our bad desicions.

Again, if someone repents and goes out and does the same thing, that's not repenting with a truely humble heart and is not the same as repenting and being truely sorry.

This really wasn't a question- more a rhetorical comment to try to get people to blindly agree with you. I'm sorry- but I won't blindly agree.

God Bless

This consternation has existed since God's word preached, people always think that times have changed, that we are so much smarter and better educated. The fact is that nothing has changed, never has, people are doing the same things today that they were doing 6000 years ago. Getting drunk , doing drugs, perverted sexual acts, scoffing and attacking believers in God, yes even abortion existed back then along with pedophilia and cannibalism (which isn't far from what some Satanists are doing). These people can't stand the truth that there is such a thing as absolute truth and that there are sins and they will have to answer for it one day. It interferes with their good times.

Oh nevermind.
