for those of you who think i have never been repected are TERRIBLY wrong...i just want to know the reasons guys do really respect a girl.

It depends on the guy really and what his type of humour is. Some guys find the playing hard to get attractive, others like full on, obvious flirting.

Zooey-la, almost all your statements is a question on its own merit. Well, it very possible for gurls to flirt with guys without being trashy. Always remember that flirting requires a good level of creativity and choice of words and action. Respect is reciprocal, so if a gurl respects a guy then he's bound to respect her back. Girls that flirt aren't trashy in my opinion just very friendly and I look at it as a compliment. Those that think they are trashy are either jealous women or guys mad that the girl isn't flirting with them

why are you trying to flirt? Be yourself, be open and honest and then you'll get attention from someone who deserves it. If your flirting includes being a bimbo, coy, trashy or behaving like an airhead then you'll only attract the guys who want to do you and forget you. If you want respect then you've gotta earn it.

It is VERY possible to flirt without being trashy. Flirting is showing interest in another person, making eye contact, smiling,complimenting another, laughing, showing interest in what they have to say. You don't have to include sexual behavior in flirting, when you do the person you are flirting with this way is going to assume that is what you are interested in.

Cross your legs toward the guy if you are sitting next to him. Giggle (don't lay it on too thick), light touches, do things that let him know you are interested but not easy. Dress for the occasion. If you dress slutty, you will attract the wrong kind of guy. If you respect yourself, guys will know and they will respect you, too.

Theres cute kinda flirting, batting eyelashes, smiling and his silly jokes, touching his arm when he says something funny, etc. Then theres the trashy kinda flirting where your making sexual jokes and innuendos.
