i d/l IE7 and didnt have to back up anything......... dont worry too much IE7 is legit you'll be fine..

No, i dont think so. But do create a restore point before you install it!!
IE7 is causing problems like nobody's business and makes your system a whole lot slower. Then again, its a beta release.
Try Firefox, it is created by a huge group of developers worldwide and its for free and is more efficient!

You might want to search "answers" for the problem with the Yahoo Toolbar not working with IE 7 - if you use the Yahoo Toolbar.
