My roommate is white and she straightens her between 3 and 5 times a day... Sometimes twice within 20-30 minutes. She uses a straightner called "Wet to Straight" or something like that. She washes her hair, but lets it air dry... and then like 3-4 hours comes back and blow drys it then straightens it again. I'm just curious if this is healthy, cuz I'm sure its not. I'm hoping that her hair will get really unhealthy and get really thin or something and look bad because she used my brush and left a bunch of hair in it and it really pissed me off. But honestly, in all seriousness, is this unhealthy?

This is madness! How does she get that much time, in the first place, to play with her hair so many times a day? Anyway, it's a surefire way to ruin one's hair.

It relies upon on the attitude of straightening one have have been given. Incase of temperory straightening, hair maintains to be quickly in basic terms till finally the subsequent wash. Incase of parmanent hair straightening, u ought to decide for rebonding in basic terms while your new hair grows as a lot using fact the version starts looking obvious. Like I even have shoulder length chemically dealt with parmanent straightened hair and that i usully decide for rebonding technique after 5-6 months. yet extra substantial element is to take ideal care of the hairs and not indulge a lot in those straightening mechanisms which will injury the hair interior the long-term greatest to over-dryness, chop up ends and acute hairfall on the later point.

Your roommate is doing a little too much. too much heat will cause your hair to dry out and become dry, brittle and break off. Your only suppose to use heat type appliances no more than 2 times a week, and then add moisture to it. she is going to become really upset when she has to remove all the damage hair.

Heat breacks your hair and cuases Splitends. You should relly flat iron your every week. Any more than that, you might as well perm your hair and have a wash and set. But yes that is very unhealthy and she is taking her hair for granted. She'll miss it when it's gone
