Ignore the radio.... just sing in the car... other drivers will think you're listening to a really cool CD or radio station.
On the other had take it to the dealer and prove its yours.

you could try disconnecting the power for a min to reset it, or if its a good radio, pull fuse from the back, My radio has a reset button on the back of the radio. but is Alpine.
