Nope, an apple has good nutritional value and enough calories to give you some energy along the way. Celery on the other hand takes more calories to digest than it's worth- it's basically non digestible and 0 calories, plus you burn a few calories chewing it up and processing it.

No, eating an apple doesn't burn the 80 calories that it gives you. Still, I'd eat away! Apples have a lot of fiber so they're filling. Also, the fiber helps to ensure that the sugar they have is released slowly into your bloodstream. This prevents insulin spikes that cause hunger/weight gain. They're a great choice for a snack, especially with a little peanut butter. The fat in the peanut butter adds some protein, which, besides being filling, also helps to prevent that insulin spike.

Well I m an editor of site www.fitnesshigh.com so I would know if apple comes in the category of negative calorie or not. And for your information it surely does and infact it has only 65 calories and our body burns 100 calories while biting and digesting the whole apple, giving us the benefit of the 35 calorie deficit, cool na, to know more about negative calorie food and other health issues, you can click www.fitnesshigh.com.

I have not seen any fruits fall into that category, but it could be. I do know that things like celery, cabbage and other low cal vegetables require more calories to digest than they contain.

No. Apples do not have a calorie deficit like celery does.

No, but this is true of celery. You actually burn more calories eating celery then the celery contains. That would be a great diet huh?
