Cellulite is fat, and you lose it the same way you lose fat anywhere else. Choose an exercise program that will get your heart rate up (I love dancing).

I hate to tell you this, but cutting back on alcohol will help you lose weight. It is very high in calories. I stopped drinking and lost almost 20 pounds. I also found some research that said drinking can throw off your blood sugar (esp for ppl with hypoglycemia and diabetes in their families) which in turn causes weight gain.

Good luck.

Sorry, but you'll have to work damned hard to prevent or remove cellulite. Even cosmetic surgery won't remove it.

Cellulite is where a woman's body fat is pushing through weak cellular skin structure. To minimise it you have to keep your body fat low.

Women are genetically prone to have cellullite. Only about 15% of women are lucky enough to have a cell structure that means they don't get it. A hell of of a lot of women claim to be in that 15%, the majority are wearing trousers a lot and lying.

So to answer your question, to prevent cellulite it's a low fat, low sugar diet with plenty of fresh food, no caffeine, no alcohol etc and loads of excerise.

Same old same old.

I'm sorry, but it really upsets me to see questions like this and the answers. Women have cellulite. It is one of the byproducts of female hormones. Get over it. The same reason why women should never have flat stomachs is because that's where the womb lives. Women who train to try to get a flat stomach can actually risk their fertility.

You're a woman. Eat sensibly, drink sensibly and exercise to stay healthy, but please just love your body the way it obviously is meant to be.

I used to do body-building, which meant that i did all types of exercises and had to eat specific foods. I can tell you exercising does not help for cellulite. The only way to get rid of it is by going for massages that will break down the fat. Good luck:) aahh aren't we woman blessed, cellulite, periods, 9 months pregnancies etc.

Cellulite is like stretch marks in that they are hereditary and they don't go away with out medical treatments. One of the things that I've found helps reduce the appearance of cellulite is being tan. Whether you really tan or use a self tanner.

stair master, treadmeal, eliptical machine, and good old fashioned squats will keep the bottom toned.

however, cellulite is genetic so if you mom and grandmother have it you will to regardless of what you do or how skinny you are. - sorry

something funny - you asked what foods to avoid...my boyfriend says that beans, collard greens and fried foods make womens butts big. I doubt there is any scientific reasoning to it but look at the latin and african american women. I think the proof is in the pudding. Genes and diet affect your butt.

stair master works wonders. Elliptical on a high resistance also works well. I guess just general diet secrets, smaller portions more often, don't mix carbs (bread with bowl of spaghetti) that stuff. If you don't have a gym to go to you can use you stairs at home. Also add some weight while you do it!

what are you talkin' bout? all men love a little cellulite!! lol. NOT!! alcohol may very well be the problem. alcohol is sugar which basically can be stored as fat if you don't exercise properly. and to tone your butt try doing some lap dances. lol. no really, do some glut exercises.

You can spend the rest of your days doing squats, lunges, whatever but if you're drinking significant amounts of alcohol, it won't go. Learn to love the orange peel!
