Can red coloured wines from pomegranate, jambolinum berries (Indian Jamun), be termed RED wines?

Depends. Language is a tricky thing.

In the EU the legal definition of 'wine' is that it is made from grapes.

Alcoholic drinks made from other fruits were traditionally known as Country Wines or Fruit Wines.

So you can call it Red, but in my book it isn't wine.

While they are red wines, I think the better term might be a red fruit wine. There is a winery here in Indianapolis, IN that makes lots of different wines from various fruits, not just grapes. They use raspberries, blueberries, peaches, just about anything you can imagine. They call their wine "fruit wine". I think as long as you put the term fruit in there, to distinguish it from regular grape wine, you should be fine.

In the wine world, Grapes are the dominant fruit of reference.

The marketing is done to educate the masses that "red wine" means table wines made from dark grapes. Any other wine is considered "fruit wines" regradless of color.

No those are classified as fruit wines. Only wine from grapes can be classified as red wine.
