Maybe you should be asking her. Kids know way more than we do. They
haven't yet been jaded by the world we live in. I think that there are water
fairies too. Take her to the beach and see the sparkles on the water. Fairies?
I think so.

What a great question!! Now you can let your imagination run with hers. How about the fairies ride them to get from place to place?

First of all, I must say YOU ROCK!! Most parents I know don't spend the time to care enough to think of that. I would tell her they are friends, or pets to the fairies. My son asked me once if fireflies were fairies. We looked fireflies up to find out.

I think anything is possible, and I love fairy books, where the fairies change in to different insects or other wildlife to hide from the humans... the kid might have something there...

It sounds like great fun and an imaginative way to get her to observe and learn about the natural world.

i tell my 3 year old daughter they are like cars to fairies, they are used to transport them when the fairy's little wings get tired!
or, you could say, yes, the fairy has changed shape so you can see her!
