You need to be observant in order to be a good gift-giver. That means watching and listening for clues about things a person would like or items that would make their life easier. If you're really good, you'll be able to give those gifts before the person even knows they want/need it. For example, there are certain bands my brothers like, and I keep an eye on when new CDs, DVDs, or fan materials come out, and I try to get them before they are aware the materials have been released.

When it comes to romantic gifts, it's the same way: know what the person likes, but then put a twist on it. I try to give gifts with a theme. Hubby and I just celebrated 6th anniversary. We both enjoyed The Tick animated series, and it was just released on DVD. Not the most romantic gift, but I knew he'd love it. So I gave him 5 other gifts (total of 6, like the anniversary) that had something to do with the DVD. One of the Tick's favorite battle cries is, "SPOON!" I ended up making 5 care packages dealing with spoons that together made for a romantic evening picnic on our anniversary trip. Each package had a chocolate coffee spoon on it instead of a bow. Inside, he found things like a tea infuser that was heart-shaped with some tea he enjoys. Another had a honey spoon with some gourmet honey to go with it. Another had a spoon fishing lure with a squid decal on it (his nickname for me). The final gift was the DVD.

It's nice to be able to gift a gift that works on several levels. So think of something he really, really likes, then build around it. If it's tickets to a game, throw in beverages, snacks, a team jersey, etc., maybe a little something slinky for you to wear that has the team logo. Be creative, silly, thoughtful, and romantic, and you'll have something memorable.

I would get him something personal. Something he would like. If you two have been somewhere special, get him a momento from there. Try getting him Tickets to his favorite concert, sporting event. A signed football or other sports memorabilia from EBAY. You can also, let him know you are in it for the long haul by getting him a long term bond. One that has a 10 year maturity. Tell him you are prepaying for your tenth anniversary. You can buy a 100$ bond for $50 dollars. a wise investment also. Have it put in both your names and use your married names.You can acquire one at your bank. If you ask again and give an age range I could be more exact. Let me know. Good Luck and congragulations

He is your fiance? That means you are going to get married ... maybe something he can use when you are married and living together ... guys love tools and gadgets ... coffee machine and coffee for your new home (he can use it in the meantime

one thing we got as an engagement present was a waffle machine, we used it together at my parents house until we got married (dreaming of the day we would eat waffles for breakfast in our own home.

Give him a card he can use to invoke one day of peace. That means when he use this card, you are not allowed to N.B.C. about anything for the whole day.
N = Nag
B = B itch
C = Complain

Believe me every man wants one of these cards, no matter how much we love you.
