Scientifically speaking -- oops, I may not be qualifed as a scientist though -- the Universe emerged from nothing. And then, it will eventually be destroyed completely into nothing. I feel as if I were in a hotel room with somebody else in the other room playing with the light switch to turn the light in my room on and of.

Cute metaphor. I personally think it entirely likely that the universe has always existed and will always exist. No beginning, no end. Change, yes. Constant change. But no Genesis, no Ragnarok.

the last time I looked, there were 11 universes, according to the scientists.

It doesn't bother me since I know my days are already numbered for me and the one who is in control cares about me so much that He sent His Son to shed His precious blood on the cross for me.
