Try copying and pasting the picture (right click on picture.. select copy.. click on the open windows of the program, right click mouse.. select paste) if that helps okay, otherwise try importing the picture from within the program (file>import> browse to location where the picture is)

If you mean how to convert files from one format to another, then just select the filetype in the box under name box in the save as window.

There are a few types of files which can be opened by almost any image program, such as bmp, jpg and gif files. Then there are formats that can be opened by only the program that made them - such as pcx files. Even in such cases, you can open the file with the program with the program it was made in, and save it as either of the universal formats. Then you will be able to open it with most programs.

I usually use the Drag and Drop feature. You put your arrow on the item you want to move left click and hold drag the arrow to the placed you want the item moved then let go. Your item should be moved. This works on anything you want moved.
