Of course it's ok. Why wouldn't it? It's actually better to get the sweat off right away before your pores become clogged, especially if you're prone to bad skin. I always wear flip flops in the showers at the gym to prevent catching athlete's foot.
(By the way, you can't catch a cold by showering with cold water. It's better to shower after a workout because it gets your circulation going as well. It's recommended that you alternate between hot and cold water, to stimulate the circulation in your body. You also can't catch a cold by going outside with wet hair. The only way to catch a cold is by contracting the virus that causes it.)

I've never heard of such a thing before. If you're talking about spider or vericose veins then I don't think you have anything to worry about- water immersion (either hot or cold) won't cause them. The big veins that you see sticking out of some peoples arms, legs and the backs of their hands are visible because the person is very lean and some people try very hard for that look. If you are lifting weights you are lowering your chances of getting spider or vericose veins and showering has no effect either way.

It's actually required in Western culture to shower after you exercise. The sweat will dry and you will have a sour musky smell within an hour or two, which no one likes except for a few strange people.

well yeah but if u can give a 2-5 mins gap after a workout.. will help as yer body temperature is high at tht time.. and takin a shower increases yer chances of gettin a cold... so jst wait for 5 mins let yer body temp come down.. and then take a shower.. :o)
