very thinly sliced cabbage, grate carrots, chopped green apple(without the skin and soaked in a little lemon juice mixed with water so they dont turn brown) and a hand full of raisins. mixed altogether in a salad bowl. add salt to taste, a little vinegar and olive oil. mix together and enjoy.
or you could mix half plain joyart and mayo and mix that into the cabbage etc.

Winter coleslaw - add in strips of fennel to the carrot cabbage and onion along with raisins and cranberries.

Try red and green cabbage mix and carrots.

I like German coleslaw better than the creamy kind. It's more of a vinaigrette dressing with caraway seeds. Much better than the creamy slop you get from the store or restaurant.
