The past few days I have noticed that once in a while, people's mouths do not match the voices. I thought it was the cable but a DVD was on last night and for about 5 minutes it did it again. Is it the TV set and why is it doing that? It is not all the time and No- I am not watching a Godzilla movie!!

Do you have digital cable or digital satellite service? If so, it could be that the datastream occasionally gets bottle necked at the decoder, resulting in a temporary shift that doesn't allow the sound to match the picture. The same thing happens with DVD players at times, especially the cheaper brands.

it may also be worth noting that some cheaper plasma/lcd tv sets have such a slow refresh rate the the audio can drop out of sync with the video.
