Check out Clinics in your area that will treat you for free or a minimal fee. You should not take thyroid treatments without diagnosis. Unless you want to wake up with buggie eyes and half out of your mind. Don"t fool around with what you don't know without diagnosis.

There is no such thing as a thyroid medication available over the counter. It's only available by prescription. God only knows what you have been taking.

You HAVE to be seen by a doctor. You don't know that you even have a thyroid problem until the test your hormone levels in blood work. Then the doctor needs to decide which prescription medication to give you and the starting dosage. IF it's a thyroid problem.

If you need to be seen, you need to contact your county's department of health and/or department of social services. They will get you seen.

As a previous poster said, thyroid medication is not over-the-counter. You need to be seen by a doctor immediately. The weight gain is not your major problem-forget about trying to lose it. Please get to your nearest clinic or doctor and get a check-up. If this is indeed a thyroid problem, the longer you go without treatment, the worse it will get.

My brother was in this exact situation and would not go to the doctor because he did not have insurance. He died in February at age 35 and it was unnecessary. If you care at all about yourself, your parents, family or friends, see a doctor ASAP. I am not trying to frighten you, but you need to realize that this could be serious.

I too thought I had a thyroid problem, had a lot of the symptoms from no energy, hair falling out, unexplained weight gain, and aching legs. I went to the doctor two days ago, had blood work done and they called yesterday to report that my thyroid is fine and the dr. thinks that stress could be causing my symptoms (and boy do I have stress with 2 toddlers and 2 teenagers, wow they keep me on my toes...lol). Anyways, you need to get blood work done and I think you could probably go to your local health dept. and they will not charge you much there.

The fault is with the coverage companies. look there. Do you anticipate the wellness care professional to paintings for unfastened? have you ever supplied to pay the total value of the nuclear test? that often is the 1st step. you apart from mght anticipate the wellness care professional to do something outdoors of the popular standards of prepare. He/she places his/her license on the line doing issues like that. If a doctor takes out a healthy thyroid, what's to stop you from turning around and suing him/her? that's a shame that scientific prepare is desperate via directors at coverage companies and attorneys who're waiting to interrupt a doctor's prepare, yet it is drugs interior the U. S. now.

Some of these people are real jerks. Don't you think she tried working out? We all have to develop different coping methods for dealing with the positives and negatives of our own physical makeup. I can see your point and understand your feeling of rejection. Based on psychological research people do assess and judge others physically very quickly, sometimes in seconds.

Barbie is a bad role model for girls, Look what she has done to the girls and women of our generation!!!! A real-life Barbie would be anorexic and probably too thin to have breasts, breasts this size would be implants. Why should we accept this unhealthy role model for young children?
Any ways getting off subject sorry.

We all need to think about or size and why we are like this. We are this size for a reason. Hey think about it you will always have bigger hopes and dreams and much bigger boobs than a model!!!!

thyroid medication is only available by prescription; please be seen by a doctor; an improperly functioning thyroid can cause all sorts of medical problems with the major organs of your body; if however you only want to loose weight, a reputable doctor won't prescribe thyroid meds for weight loss;

So if your car broke down and you didnt have a factory warranty you wouldnt get it fixed?

Is there some law I dont know about that states you cant go to a doctor unless you have insurance?

Health service doesn't have to be free to use it. I hate the fact that people think their health care should be free and dont go to the doctor because they dont want to pay for service.

I bet if Fe-Fe your dog was sick you would take her to the vet and she doesn't have insurance.
