NOOOOOOOO

There is more bacteria growth in your water bottle, after the first day then on your toilet! It is always advised to throw it away once you are finished with it. Even soap and water cannot kill all of the bacteria.

No, it isn't safe.
the problem is with the plastic that the bottle is made from. over time, and not really that long, the chemicles get into whatever is in the bottle and then into your system.
so, better safe than sorry. use it for a day and recycle it.

My husband does. I fuss at him all the time to change bottles but he just uses the same one. He will also fill up his water bottle and let it sit over night on the kitchen counter then grab it on his way to work. Doesn't seem to both him.

Hmmm...this question is quite debatable. I soppose it really depends on how good your immune system is. As statd above, if you decide to do this, then wash it from time to time. Also, be warned that while recycling is a good idea, it would be safer to simply buy a new bottle.

my daughter told me the other day that she read that the more you use the more the plastics break down and end up in your water ....some with cancer causing effects. Don't know if it is true, but I stopped reusing bottles

NO, it is not, no matter if you wash it or not. You don't have the capability to pasteurize or sanitize the proper way. It's best to just use a new bottle, to be the safest.

So long as you wash it. If it is PET plastic don't scrub it with a brush, though; scratches are germ traps.
