If I am sitting in the john and my wife yells to me that I have a phone call is it rude to say, "Tell Jack I am just finishing wiping my a ss I will be with him in a minute".

If you and Jack are close friends then no it's not rude at all. If you do not know Jack that well then it's not just rude but also disrespectful. It sounds to me from the quote that you are friends with him. If you weren't you might say, "Please, tell him to hold just a moment and I will be with his in two wipes of a mans tail."

I think it's actually rude of your wife to tell you that you've got a call when you're sitting on the john! She should just tell him your "busy" and will call him back!

Now just a second here; if I were your wife I would take GREAT exception to your saying that to ME! Who cares about your so-called friend. Why in the world would you be so d*mned ignorant to your wife? I do not know where my husband is if he is not standing in front of me OR WAIT!! Excuse me, I did not consider the fact that maybe your trailer is soooo small that it is easy to know where you are.... My husband would NEVER speak to me or to any woman or man either in such a fashion; sheesh!

I guess it depends on the nature of your relationship with jack...if you two are good friends then it probably would be humourous to him. What is rude is telling your wife to relay that type of message...it would probably if you told him that type of thing yourself.
