You can but, don't work on the same muscles in one day. Your muscles need to recover at least 3-4 days before you work on that group of muscles again. If you want muscle mass, you need to use heavier weights and less reps.
For ex., if you are working on biceps....do three different exercises for them in one session, with 2 minute breaks in between. You can work biceps, back and hams one day, triceps, chest, and quads another day, shoulders, calves, and butt the next day. Do Abs everyday more reps on abs, less weight. Take a day off or do some aerobics, then start over again the next day with biceps, back, and hams....etc. etc. etc.

your overworking your muscles, which is taking away from building mass. light weight only tones muscle, if you want to build mass use heavy weight 2-3 sets within 5-10reps. if your a beginner you should only work out each body part once a week. once you have been working out for a year or so you can hit them twice a week but give at least 48 hours before hitting them again or else you will overtrain your muscles. pick up either muscle and fitness or flex magazine which will give you help and info for building mass.

I sometimes work out a couple times a day. I'm not sure if it matters if you do light weights early and heavy later. Personally, I have a lot more energy for working out first thing in the morning.

I always tell people to consult a trainer, even for just one session. It's not that expensive, and they can give you good advice on general principles.
