I think finding a study partner is the best way to go, hopefully someone who has a better grasp of the subject. There's no quick fix but there's no substitute for trying. Paying attention in class and doing your homework, answering questions when you have the answer help - the teacher notices!

Ask the teacher if he/she does extra credit or makeups for tests/quizzes.
The biggest way for a grade to drop is to get a 0 on something. Have you turned in all of your homework and classwork? If not ask your teacher if you can turn it in for partial credit.
Start doing your work to the best of your ability--if that isn't doing well then talk to the teacher after class and get a better grasp on that day's lesson. Best of luck!

The way you can raise your grade quickly is to start doin any make up work that you have missed and try to ace your test.

I've always understood that it's easy to sink your grade quickly, but takes forever to raise the grade.
The best of luck!
