Of course everyone is different, but I took my chemo (cisplatin) really well. I was nauseated, but the compazine took care of that. Get plenty of rest and drink plenty of fluids. Eat what you can because you'll need your strength. Also, try not to eat your favorite foods when you're sick. That way you won't associate them with that nauseous feeling should you get that way.

I also exercised the days following my treatments. The fresh air and physical activity helped me mentally, physically and emotionally. I didn't feel sorry for myself as much because I was out there doing something.

Take care and God Bless

I don't know about scalp cooling. I was able to work about 30 hours a week through the first 3 cycles of chemo (I had them every two weeks), it does wear you down, even with Neupogin and Iron shots. I was back at work full time 2 weeks after my last chemo.

I had chemo about a year ago! It was once every 2 weeks for 3 hours. I chose not to work, but I remember I was tired for about 2 or 3 days and I ate lightly(soup, salad, etc.)

You can work but it drains your energy & everybody recats to the treatment diffrently!

Good luck!!

I've seen people go to school and work between cycles, but it's all dependant on how you feel and what the doc says. If you're not up to it, don't do it. Getting better's more important.

the best is not to work to heal your natural defences.. less stress and more prayers..
