GPA of 2 = C
GPA of 3 = B
GPA of 4 = A

Note: for some undergraduate majors the GPA is weighted (scaled up) when being considered for Graduate School admission. This is to make a fair playing Field for those who majored in particularly challenging majors

It means that when you assign numbers to each of your grades as follows:

A = 4
B = 3
C = 2
D = 1
F = 0

then multiplied your number of As, Bs, Cs, Ds, by the number code. then divided the sum of the results by the total number of grades recieved (including the Fs). The result was 2.5 meaning an average somewhere between C and B....

Roughly, it means that your over all GPA (Grade Point Average) is a low C+. It means all the grades you earn are around a C+ ish.

2.5 means you need to work harder, a lot of undergraduate programs wont even let you in without a 3.5 or higher.
